The off-season is the time when hitters look to add power and efficiency to their swings. The Smart Offense Project uses a scientific approach to improve all aspects of your offensive game.

The Baseball Zone and The Performance Lab teamed up to add a scientific approach to the art of pitching... and the results of our SMART Velo Project were impressive, so much so that we had to expand the program. When TBZ owner and widely renowned hitting guru Rick Johnston looked at that program, he immediately decided we needed to offer the same opportunity to hitters looking to power their way to the next level. In addition to our SMART Velo Project, we are offering a limited number of athletes the chance to work with Terriers Hitting Coordinator Luke Tevlin and leading sports scientist Dr. Carm Filice of The Performance Lab in our SMART Offense Project.

The combination of the use of 3D motion capture & state-of-the-art ground force reaction plate testing which is exclusive

to The Performance Lab, allows their biomechanical specialists to identify both movement weaknesses and movement strengths to create individualized strength training programs. Coupled with Luke Tevlin's coaching success with many Terrier hitters, his own hitting prowess at the D1 level, and his hands on experience with The Lab's technology, this program will take your swing to a whole new level. Says Coach Rick "This collaboration with Carm and Luke will change the game when it comes to hitting a baseball with power". As Dr. Carm Filice puts it "Between RJ, Luke and I, we have helped hitters at every level from Division 1 to the The Major Leagues. Pooling our experiences are going to be off the charts exciting!"

By using 3D Motion Capture and 3D Ground Force Reaction Plates we are able to determine where each player is weak and leaking efficiency. Through personalized hitting and lifting programs, we can improve the biomechanical synchronization of the body as applied to the baseball swing.

Join us for an open house demonstration of 3D motion capture technology at The Baseball Zone on Tuesday, October 18th (Hitting 5 pm – 6 pm)

Please RSVP at info@thebaseballzone.ca
